The Story Behind the House
Once upon a time, I got my first job washing golf carts and picking range balls and spent summers sun up to sun down at the golf course, cleaning clubs for tips, money games with members and the constant chase to break par.
All these years later, I’ve learned how to shape shots and stories — stories, professionally. And the game, and sports in general have been a large part of my professional career working with head coaches or CEOs who love sports as a metaphor for life.
Salt Lake has been home since 2019. The mountains and the Delta hub brought me here as I travel more than 100 days a year with Dear World, the company I founded.
I bought the property above the Capitol as a 40th birthday gift.
And then I looked off the back deck and saw it below in memory grove--a mound about 130 yards from my backyard that looked as if Seth Raynor architected it. That moment I wondered if I could build a space where my shared loves of golf, leadership and storytelling took center stage.
I’m an odd combination of an athlete turned artist and have never quite fit in around the country club vibe.
I read every case study I could find on exclusive clubs.
So I asked myself: What would it look like if a club felt like a home? That’s when I discovered I could apply for a home-based business license — one with plenty of constraints, sure, but also a path forward.
The home and license demanded that I build something more intimate, more intentional, and more human. It’s a private sanctuary carved into a real home — a place where high performers can unplug with purpose. Think of me like the chef at a small, soulful restaurant — the kind who comes out and sits with you.
The space when you book it will be yours—for you and your people.
We’ll gather as a membership thoughtfully, unforgettably four times per year.
I have built out the .5 acre site where I will live in a separate unit on the grounds with my partner—she’s learning to love the game—and hope to chip, putt and talk life as much as I can with you when I am in town.
There is beauty in constraint...and community in it too.
So if you feel like working on your game and your life, apply to be one of the 36 members.
Sincerely,
Robert X Fogarty

Who It’s For
I've been lucky. Some call me your favorite coach’s favorite coach. I’ve spent years behind the scenes in locker rooms and boardrooms, helping some of the best teams in the world tell their stories to each other through my storytelling company, Dear World.
R & G demands exclusivity and discretion — but that’s just the starting point. Members must share a love of sport, a commitment to authenticity, and a hunger to keep learning how to tell better stories and listen with more meaning.
IIf you're here, it’s because you're curious. About yourself. About others. About how to live and lead with more intention. I’m an odd combination of an athlete turned artist and frankly have never quite fit in around the country club vibe. As an experience designer, I wondered what it may look like to build a secret club, full of diverse leaders who happen to love golf.
Programming & Philosophy
Most of what happens at Rhythm & Greens is intentionally unstructured — when you book the space it's yours--a quiet morning, a golden. hour round on the sim, a record spinning while the city hums below.
For those looking to grow as storytellers, I offer 1-on-1 coaching — held at the house or via Zoom — in a retainer model designed for depth, not speed.
But four times a year, we gather on purpose.
We call them The Majors.
These seasonal gatherings are built around sport as metaphor — an anchor for leadership in business and in life. They’re designed to stretch you, connect you, and remind you why you play the game in the first place.
They won’t be frequent.
But they’ll be unforgettable.
